Destrehan High School students Warren Moore, Sean Ortiz, Cambrey Dent, Adam Songy, Whitney Thibodeaux, and Renee Walsh, Harry Hurst student, Cindy Ladner,  and JB Martin student, Nicholas Guillot, represented St. Charles Parish at the Audubon Institute’s Louisiana Youth Environmental Summit.

Students spent for days exploring different wetland areas and discussing climate change in Louisiana. During the summit, students planned environmental projects that they will complete during this school year. Amy LeGaux, Colleen Morgan, interns Michelle Moran and Shannon Macika and student mentors Renee Walsh and Myriah LeGaux facilitated the group.
