St. John Warriors place 10th out of 64 at Dizzy Dean World Series

The 8-year-old St. John Warriors baseball team recently competed in the Dizzy Dean World Series in Southaven, MS. The Warriors finished in 10th place of 64 competing teams,  accumulating a 6-2 record with wins over teams from Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama. The team was presented with the 2008 sportsmanship award, the first time a team from Louisiana recieved the honor. The Warriors advanced to the World Series by winning the Louisiana’s state

championship.
