Koenig

Karen Cascio Koenig, 58, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2008. She was a native and resident of Lutcher, La. She is survived by her husband Joseph Koenig; two sons:  Adam and Joshua Koenig; her mother,  Corine Giardina Cascio; one brother, Sammy Joseph Cascio and one sister, Donna Cascio. She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Anthony Cascio. She was a loving wife and mother who loved family life. She was employed by Basic Industries for the last 12 years.

Visitation and services were at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, La., on Friday, July 18. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Chenier

Paula S. Chenier, 37, died May 1, 2008. The LaPlace native and resident was mother of Ashley Chenier, daughter of Phyllis M. Chenier and the late Donald Chenier, sister of Ricky Chenier, daughter-in-law of Debbie Martin, granddaughter of the late Louis and Alma Chenier, Gaston and Edna Martin and Ignace and Hortense Martin.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend services. Visitation at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in LaPlace on Saturday, July 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. followed by religious services at the church. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve.

Hitt

Jack Elvin Hitt, 81, died JJuly 11, 2008. The Luling resident was husband of Mary Sutton Hitt, father of Penny Elaine Morris, Elizabeth Margaret Hitt and the late Charles Michael Hitt, brother of the late Charles Herbert Hitt and grandfather of Steven Scott Morris.

Friends of the family and members of Luling United Memorial Service are invited to attend memorial services at Luling United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 19, at 11 a.m.

Keller

Mildred Gendron Keller died on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 2 a.m. Beloved wife of the late Joseph (Joe) Keller. Mother of Joseph (Jay) Keller Jr. Daughter of the late Jorda and Angeline Gendron. Sister of Dowie Gendron and Earline Duhe. She was a retired teacher and librarian at Leon Godchaux High School, East St. John High School and St. John Public Library after 44 years. Age 86 years.

A native of LaPlace and a resident of Reserve.

Relatives and friends, also St. Peter Ladies Altar Society are invited to attend services. Visitation at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, La. on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Followed by Religious Services at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve at 10 a.m. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve, La. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to St. Peter Catholic School. Arrangements by Millet-Guidry Funeral Home.
