Janice and Harold “Bubby” Haydel celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently when they were given a surprise Luau party by their children and families, at the home of their daughter, Jane, and her husband Kerry Brignac. Janice and Bubby were married on July 5, 1958 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, and more recently, the renewal of their vows was witnessed by family, friends and officiated by Monsignor Robert Vincent. The Haydels have six children, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Their children are Robin Guillot, Glenn Haydel, Jane Brignac, Amy Haydel (all of LaPlace) and Erin Haydel of Plano, Texas.
