Michael A. “Scooby”, “Jag” Taylor Jr., 28, died June 26, 2008. The Garyville native is the son of Priscilla James and the late Michael Taylor Sr.; stepson of Charles James; Father of Jordan Hayes; Brother of Whitney James, Shontell James, Marcus Kliebery and Kendell Morris; grandson of Dora Mae and Charles Lee Belvin Sr., and the late Shirley Mae and Lawrence Taylor Sr. Visitation and Funeral services were held Saturday, July 5, 2008 at True Light Baptist Church, Garyville, La. Interment in St. John Memorial Gardens, Laplace, La.

Deroche

Cynthia “Cindy” Deroche, 63, died July 2, 2008. The Gramercy resident is the wife of Earl Deroche Jr.; mother of Bret Michael Deroche, Kimberly Deroche, and Melissa Deroche Philpot; daughter of Sidney Weaver and the late Dorothy Weaver; sister of Kathleen SanSalvador and Beth Bonnecarre. Visitation and a mass of Christian burial were held Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy. Interment in St. Joseph Mausoleum in Paulina.
