Minister Mona T. Honor, 50, died June 23, 2008. The Luling native is the daughter of the late William and Lillian Harris Thomas; wife of Darryl Honor, Sr.; mother of Darryl Jr., Rondell, and Nicole Honor; Sister of Rosemary Issac, Theola Gullage, and Diane Barconey; grandmother of Jardyn, McKenzie, Rylie, and Jornea Honor. Visitation and funeral services were held Tuesday, July 1, at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, Boutte, La. Interment at Mt. Airy Memorial Park Cemetery, Boutte, La.

Edward “Ed” Martin, 78, died June 27, 2008. The LaPlace resident is the husband of Josephine “Jo” Martin; father of Curt Martin, David Martin, Mary Adams, and the late Lynn Barthel; stepfather of Diane Foster; son of the late Wister Martin and Bernice Allgood Martin; brother of Dorothy Fleming, Doris Hunter and the late Gilbert, James, Wister, Margaret and Mary Frances Martin. Roy Hebert Sr., 55, died June 26, 2008. Slayton

Dale Slayton, 47, died June 26, 2008.The LaPlace resident is the husband of Michelle Slayton; father of Philip Bourgeois, Joshua Slayton, Amy Slayton, and Samantha Peters; grandfather of Kallie and Kasey Bourgeois; son of William and Jean Slayton; brother of Pam de St. Germain and Scott Slayton. St. Germaine

Theresa Ann Rushing St. Germaine, 44, died June 26, 2008. The New Sarpy resident is the daughter of Harlon and Janell Rushing; mother of Roy Joseph St. Germaine Jr., Jessica Theresa Compton, and Melisa Marie St. Germaine; sister of Randy Coy Rushing, and Janet Lynn; grandmother of Harlon Jessie Compton, Gauge David Bowlers, and Razone J’Mychal Cammon Jr. Visitation and funeral services were held Monday, June 30, at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco, La. Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 1, at the Rushing Cemetery in Tylertown, Miss.

Love

Corine Keller Love, 89, died June 18, 2008. The Vacherie native and Westwego resident was wife of the late Roy G. Love, mother of Carrollton P. Love, stepmother of Roy G. Love Jr., daughter of the late Pierre’ and Althea Keller and sister of Cecille Mundy, Joseph Keller, Eliot Keller and Victor Keller.

Visitation and services were held Tuesday, July 1, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Marrero. Interment at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Westwego.
