Woman robs Reserve man of wallet, keys, cell phone

RESERVE – St. John deputies are searching for a white female who allegedly robbed a 41-year-old Reserve man at gunpoint after he gave her a ride in his car early Saturday morning, said a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.

Maj. Mike Tregre, public information officer for the St. John Sheriff’s Office said the victim, whose name was not released, contacted authorities after dropping the woman off near the intersection of Capt. G. Bourgeois and Pine Streets, around 4:50 a.m. Saturday.

According to a sheriff’s office report, as the female suspect exited the victim’s vehicle, she produced a small black handgun and demanded the victim empty his pockets. The report said the suspect took the victim’s his cell phone, his car keys and his wallet, which contained about $100 in cash,. She then fled the scene on foot down Pine Street.

The victim said the suspect had blonde hair, and was carrying a small brown handbag.
