LAPLACE – A Kenner man accused of robbing a LaPlace bank early last week was arrested this past Thursday by a law enforcement task force, said a spokesman for the FBI.

Isaac Ronald Skinner Jr., 27, was taken into custody without incident from his home in Kenner after a warrant was issued early Thursday morning, said Special Agent Sheila Thorne, spokesperson for the New Orleans bureau of the FBI.

Thorne said Skinner is the alleged perpetrator of a June 11 robbery of Chase Bank, located at 104 W. Airline Hwy., LaPlace. An FBI release said a black male, wearing an orange polo shirt, dark pants and a black NASCAR cap, entered the bank branch around 9 a.m. Thursday armed with a gun and demanding money. The release did not say if anything was taken from the bank during the heist.

Thorne said Skinner was arrested by the New Orleans Violent Crimes Task Force, which is comprised of members of the FBI, New Orleans Police Department, Louisiana State Police, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and the Sheriff’s Offices of Jefferson and St. Bernard Parish. She said Kenner Police also assisted in Skinner’s arrest.
