Crews from the Norco Fire Department cleared the scene of a garbage truck fire along Airline Highway in St. Charles Parish Tuesday. The driver of the truck, which is owned by Coastal Waste Services of Slidell, pulled his vehicle over right in front of the Spillway Bar, on Airline Highway in Norco. The driver was not hurt in the fire, and the flames were confined to the rear of the truck. Firefighters on the scene said the blaze took about two hours to put out.
