Keller

Rodney Martin Keller, 49, died May 28, 2008. The LaPlace resident was the son of Calvin Keller, and the late Lulabelle B. Keller; husband of Shirley Martin Keller; father of Kinley, Danielle, and Katherine Keller; and brother of Roxanne Keller Lumar. Visitation and a mass of Christian burial were held Friday, June 6, at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in LaPlace. Interment at St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve.

Clemente

Anthony J. Clemente Sr., 91, died June 4, 2008. The Gramercy resident was the father of Anthony Clemente Jr., Kerry Clemente, and Peter Clemente; and grandfather Matthew Clemente, Anne Marie Clemente, Samuel Pearson, and Caleb Pearson. He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Marbrough Clemente; his parents, Joseph and Rosa Navetta Clemente; his sister, Catherine “Jennie” Runfalo; and his brother, Frank Clemente. Visitation and mass of Christian burial were held Saturday, June 7 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy. Interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Paulina.

Oubre

Olivia Monae Oubre, 5 months, died June 6, 2008. The Edgard resident was the daughter of You’Neka Marie Oubre and Terrance Williams; granddaughter of Vernadine Kelly Oubre, and the late Oliver J. Oubre. Niece of You Cha Oubre Alshishani. Visitation and a mass of Christian celebration will be held Wednesday, June 11, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgard. Entombment at church mausoleum.

Vicknair

Gloriajean “Skeeter” Vicknair, 73, died June 5, 2008. The Reserve resident was the wife of the late Ronald Vicknair,; mother of Ronald Vicknair Jr., Cheryl St. Martin, Jeffery Vicknair, and Michael Vicknair. Visitation and funeral services were held Saturday, June 7, at Millet-Guidry Funeral home in LaPlace. Burial in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery in LaPlace.

Becnel

Lydia Michael Becnel, 81, died June 6, 2008. The Convent native and former Reserve resident was the wife of the late Roger Becnel; mother of Prunie Frederic, Darryl Becnel, Carol Bruno, and the late Bosco Becnel; grandmother of Ayme Messer, Ashley Frederic, Emily Becnel, Ben Becnel, Megan Bruno, Kaitlin Bruno, Tori Guice, Michael Becnel, Tessa Becnel, and Sabrina Becnel; daughter of the late Robert and Emily Michel; sister of Charles Michel Sr., and the late Toe Michel, Bootsie Michel, and Rita Wood. Visitation and funeral services were held Monday, June 9, at St. Peter Catholic Church, in Reserve, La. Burial in church cemetery.

Hoover

Brandon “Hoova” Hoover, 25, died June 5, 2008. The St. John Parish native was the father of Kaydence Hoover; special friend of Stephanie LaBranche; son of Roxanne B. and Harris Duhe, and Chris and Nancy Hoover; brother of Jeremy Hoover, Kristi Hoover, and Megan Duhe; grandson of Herbert and Emily Becnel, Norma Jean Hoover, and the late Cecil Hoover.Visitation was held Sunday, June 8 at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace. Funeral services followed at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, La. Burial in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
