Duhe

Ned Duhe, 81, died May 22, 2008.  The Garyville resident was father of Gene Duhe, Penny Brock, Mary Alice and Peter John Duhe, grandfather of Casey, Blake, Taylor and Ashley Duhe, Jason and Jennifer Brock, and Michael, Michelle and Mitchell Summers, great-grandfather of Allie Belle Felger, son of the late Joseph and Marie Duhe, brother of the late Herbert Sr., Junior and C.D. Duhe and Grace Ray and Annie Palmisano.

Visitation and services were held Sunday, May 25, at St. Hubert Church in Garyville. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve.

Hymel

Martha Felicie Claire Hymel, 86, died May 28, 2008. The lifelong resident of Edgard was wife of the late Merlin A. Hymel Sr., mother of Ronald, Michael and Merlin Hymel Jr., Charlotte H. Bracey and the late Patricia H. Glynn, grandmother of Jean Paul, Brad, Brett, Adam, Casey, Blake, Paul, Thomas and Katherine Hymel, Rebecca G. Morrel and Richard Glynn, great-grandmother of Jordan Morrel, Rachel and Hannah Glynn, daughter of the late James and Henriette Webre Caire and sister of James, Joseph, Edward, Roland and the late Henry Caire.

Visitation and services were held Friday, may 30, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgard followed by interment in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Mausoleum.

Kinler

Dudley J. “T-Dud” Kinler, 72, died May 21, 2008. The Paulina native and resident is survived by wife Phenie Dottolo Kinler, sons Chuck and Glenn Kinler, daughters Robyn Gauthreau and Patty Roussell Jr., brothers Edmond Kinler Jr. and Ellis Kinler, sister Nora K. Faucheux and grandchildren Jordan Remondet, Austi Kinler, Dylan Kinler, Mikayla Kinler and Kaitlyn Kinler.

Preceded in death by parents Edmond Kinler Sr. and Anita Laicher Kinler, brothers Nelson Kinler, Alton George Kinler, Larry Kinler and Alton Julius Kinler and sisters Janice Decareaux and Allice Bailey

Visitation and services were held Monday, May 25, at Alexander Funeral Home in Lutcher. Interment followed in St. Joseph Catholic Church Mausoleum in Paulina.

Landry

Wilda Stogner Landry, 65, died May 21, 2008. The Garyville resident was the wife of Bernie Landry, mother of Theresa Melancon, Ursule Melancon and Huey Melancon, Jr., daughter of the late Hollis and Maudine Stogner, sister of Wilton, Jewel, Sedgie and Kenzie Stogner, Nell Blackman and Mildred Frank. Visitation was held Saturday, May 24, at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace. Religious services followed in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve, La.

Narcisse

Seaneea Marie “Nee Nay” Narcisse, 27, died May 26, 2008. The native and resident of Vacherie was daughter of Rudolph Narcisse Jr. and Gloria Champagne Narcisse, sister of Peggy Joseph, Danielle Narcisse, Nicole Franklin and Ronnie Narcisse, granddaughter of Odeal Stewart Narcisse and Rudolph Narcisse Sr. and the late Annie Bell Champagne. She is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces, godchildren, aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Relatives and friends of the family, priests and parishioners of St. James Catholic Church are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 31, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 6613 Hwy. 18., St. James, La. Fathr Louis Oubre celebrant. Visitation at the church after 8:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.

Priestley

Lawrence “Goat Man” Priestley II, 35, died May 26, 2008. The Vacherie resident was son of Rosa Lee Priestley and Lawrence Myles, father of TaShada Young and LaVon Jones, brother of Darnell, LaFonta and Leandra Priestley and grandson of Hazel Blue.

Relatives and friends of the family as well as priests and parishioners of St. James Catholic Church are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 31, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. james Catholic Church, 6613 Hwy. 18, St. James, La. Father Louis Oubre, celebrant. Visitation at the church after 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Interment in the church cemetery.

White

Vernell Naquin White, 81, died May 25, 2008. The long-time resident of Norco is survived by son Jerry J. White Sr., daughter Diana W. Beisert, brother Ray Naquin, sister Thelma N. Oubre, seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents Nelson and Andrea Naquin, brothers Edward, Sidney, Louis and Herbert Naquin and sister Annie Mae Louque.

Visitation and services were held Wednesday, May 28, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norco. Interment to follow in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Mausoleum in Destrehan.

Catoire

Leo “L.J.” Catoire Jr., 77, died May 26, 2008. The Reserve native and Paulina resident is survived by his wife, JoAnne Gaudet Catoire; a son, Leo Catoire III; three daughters, Cynthia Breaux, Roxanne Torres, and Laurie Bourgeois; two brothers, Wilfred “Skinny,” and George Catoire; his grandchildren, Shane, Lacey and Marcy Catoire, Lance Heltz and Melissa Heltz Madere, Steven, Troy and Devin Torres, Halie and Marlee Bourgeois; and great-grandchildren, Nicole, Shaina, Reagan, Frankie, Braydon, Alexia and Sadie. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Tyler Bourgeois; his parents, Leo Catoire, Sr. and Gladys Madere Catoire; two sisters, Priscilla Richard and Diana Trosclair; and a brother, Bruce Catoire. Visitation was held Wednesday, May 27, 2008, and Thursday, May 28, at Alexander Funeral Home in Lutcher. A mass of Christian burial was held Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Paulina. Entombment in the Church Mausoleum.

Moore

Taytum Aevon Moore, 2, died May 25, 2008. The LaPlace resident was the daughter of Tremayne and Margo Moore, sister of Torrian J. Moore and A’Hnesty Alexander, granddaughter of Edna D. Robertson, Robert Moore, III, Lurline Warren and Michael Warren, great granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moore, Sr., Elouise Duhe, Edwin Duhe Sr., Isabella Gerard, Helen Warren and the late Earl Gerard, Sr., and Joseph Warren. Visitation and funeral services were held Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Zion Travelers Baptist Church in LaPlace. Interment at church cemetery.
