Ernst

Frank H. “Pancho” Ernst Jr., 79, died May 18, 2008. The McFadden Ranch native and Luling resident is survived by wife Dorothy W. Ernst, son Kevin Ernst, daughters Darla McBroom and Dana Hull, sister Dorothy Williams and seven grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents Frank H. Sr. and Grace G. Ernst, son Orion Ernst and sister Elouise Stanzel.

Visitation and services were held Thursday, May 22, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland.

Tatum

Bertha “Tee-Tay” Tatum died May 18, 2008. The LaPlace resident was mother of Troy Belvin, Pernell Belvin and the late Myrna Davis, stepmother of Ivan, Robert Jr., Christopher, Biley and Ivan Tatum, sister of Caldonia Greene and the late Augustine Warren, Jessie Banks Rosalie Williams, Lucille Johnson, Emily White and Velma Banks.

She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation and services were held Friday, May 23, at Providence #2 Baptist Church in Montz. Interment in Providence Memorial Cemetery in LaPlace.

Thompson

Corinne “Tee Doll” Vinnett Thompson, 89, died May 13, 2008. The St. Rose native and Destrehan resident was daughter of the late Ellis and Corinne Royal Vinnett, wife of the late Alexander Thompson, sister of Lloyd and Elser Vinnett and the late Iona Vinnett Zeringue, Herman Hampton and Raymond and Behrman Vinnett and niece of Virginia Vinnett Harris.

Visitation and services were held Thursday, May 22, at Fifth African Baptist Church in St. Rose. Interment in St. Rose Cemetery.

Vicknair

M. Nelson Vicknair on Friday, May 16, 2008, at 3:10 a.m. Beloved husband of Mary Anna Duhe Vicknair. Father of Michael II, Scott and Jarret Vicknair. Also survived by 4 grandchildren. Son of the late Mederic and Marie Vicknair. Brother of Wilson, Bob and June Vicknair, Ida Wilson and the late Rodney Vicknair and Josephine Millet. Age 78 years, a native and a resident of Reserve

Visitation was at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, followed by Religious Services at the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve.
