Ten years ago the Rainbow Automotive Group decided to expand the Rainbow family, leading to the opening of Rainbow Chevrolet, which celebrated its 10-year anniversary in LaPlace this past week.

The dealership had previously been Bayou Chevrolet, but Dealer Lloyd Guillot Jr. was brought in to improve the new Rainbow dealership, and brought about sweeping changes that led the business to grow and prosper.

From a total of 20 employees when purchased 10 years ago, the company now employs 50 and owns property next door for additional inventory.

The Rainbow family now consists of seven dealerships.
