Smith

Ballard Brooks Smith, Jr., age 85, was born on October 8, 1922.  He passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 11:10 a.m. He was a resident of Lutcher, La., and a native of Staunton, Va. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eleanor Edward Smith, 1 son: Ballard Brooks Smith, III, 2 daughters: Deborah Smith Reynaud and Cornelia Smith Meyers, a sister: Elizabeth R. Smith, 3 Grandchildren: David F. Reynaud, Elizabeth W. Meyers, and David W. Meyers II. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ballard Brooks Smith, Sr. and Elizabeth Rust Smith; Grandchildren: William Brooks Reynaud and Ellen W. Reynaud and a sister, Jane Smith Fee.

Visitation was at Rose Lynn Funeral Home in Lutcher on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, and again on Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Religious Services were in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Paulina.

Pitre

Vivian Marie Pitre, age 85, born in Waco, Texas and a resident of Greenbriar Nursing Home, on May 14, 2008 left this earth to join her loved ones. Her husband Edwin, her mother Buelah Bucker, father Lawrence Sexton, sister Lillie Blackman, granddaughter Hopemurry Lambert, great-granddaughters Hilary Murry and Wendy Lingo and a great-grandson Travis James. Survived by four daughters Joyce Bourda, Sandra Kinney, Betty Pitre and Fena Spencer; thirteen grandchildren Robert, Kevin and Frank Bourda, Aileen Frasier, Denise Cramer, Everett Lamar, Lawrence Abadie, Robin Fabien, Danny Murry, Robert Lasseigne and Larry and Sunshine Spencer; also, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation was on Saturday, May 17, 2008. Services were held at Millet-Guidry L.L.C. Funeral Home Chapel in LaPlace Interment at St. John Memorial Gardens in LaPlace.

St. Pierre

Derrel “Dee” St. Pierre on Friday, May 16, 2008. Beloved mother of Brooke and husband Brad Kilburn and the late John Dickinson, III. Grandmother of Cole Kilburn. Daughter of Bubby and Pye St. Pierre. Sister of Kelly, Cord and Sean St. Pierre. Godmother of Rachael Monica and Chase Rome.

 Special friend of John Timken, III. Maw-maw Dee of Ashlynn, Bobby and Loulou Rebstock. Age 49 years. A native of Reserve and a resident of LaPlace.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend services.

 Visitation at Millet-Guidry L.L.C. Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy., LaPlace, La., on Wed., May 21, 2008 from 9:30 a.m. until noon. Followed by religious services at the funeral home

Chapel at noon. Private burial at a later date.
