Browning

Gregory Alan “Greg” Browning, 47, died May 12, 2008. The Rogers, Ark., native and Montz resident is survived by wife Karen Browning, son Ross Browning, parents Bob and Jessie Browning and brother Bob Browning Jr.

Visitation and sevices were held Thursday, May 15, at St. Charles United Methodist Church in Destrehan.

Christie

Tanya Yolanda Christie, 36, died May 11, 2008. The native and resident of St. Rose was daughter of Leslie and Joyce Christie, step-daughter of Dell Christie and Bruce Williams Sr., mother of Donald Harris Jr. and Tyganika Davis-Harris and sister of Derrick and Louis Christie, Troy Kelly and Bruce Williams Jr.

Visitation and services were held Friday, May 16, at Fifth African Baptist Church in St. Rose. Interment at Jefferson Memorial Garden in St. Rose.

Dorsey

Jane Dorsey, 94, died May 10, 2008. The native and resident of Boutte was daughter of the late Priscilla and Sam Dorsey, mother of the late Floyd Griffin Sr., sister of the late Pearl Turner, Louise Sumler, Emily Hill, Jake, Sam, Hannibal, Charles, Dora and Rev. John L. Dorsey, mother-in-law of Inez Griffin and sister-in-law of Lillian Dorsey.

She is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation and services were held Friday, May 16, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Boutte. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery in Boutte.

LeBlanc

Edna Millet LeBlanc, 92, died May 12, 2008. The Montz native and Norco resident is survived by sons Herbert LeBlanc and John Keith LeBlanc, sister Aline Beal, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband Herbert LeBlanc Sr., parents Edward Millet and Oceanie Vicknair Millet, sisters Virginia Cuny and Ida Mae Madere and brothers Edward Millet Jr. and Allen Millet.

Visitation and services were held Wednesday, May 14, at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco. Interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan.

Perilloux

Marie Helen Donaldson Perilloux, 85, died May 7, 2008. The St. Rose native, and LaPlace resident, was the wife of the late Joseph Perilloux, mother of Roberta Bailey, JoAnne Scroggs, and the late Joseph W. Perilloux. She was a substitute teacher at St. Joan of Arc School and a volunteer for The River Parish Senior Citizens Center. Visitation and religious services were held Monday, May 12, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, La. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve, La.

Robertson

James “Snag” Robertson, 54, died May 5, 2008. The Gramercy resident was the son of the late Ernest Robertson, Sr. and Annie B. Marcel Robertson, husband of Devaki Williams Robertson, father of Jarrad, Jamie, Joshua, and Jonathan Robertson, brother of Laddie Mason, Nettie Kirklin, Betty Griffin, Jeanette Benn, Jackie, Eddie, Lawrence Robertson, Sr., and the late Henry, Dave and Ernest Robertson, Jr. Visitation and funeral services were held Saturday, May 10, at New Zion Full Gospel Baptist Church, Gramercy, La. Interment in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Paulina, La.
