LAPLACE – Motorists traveling the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 through LaPlace should be aware of roadwork scheduled for next week.
According to a release from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, the eastbound right lane of I-10, along with the eastbound LA 3188 (Belle Terre) on-ramp will close while crews test weigh in motion scale equipment. The work will be on eastbound I-10 between exit 206 and the eastbound truck weight scales.
DOTD said the closures are scheduled for Wednesday April 16 through Thursday April 17. The lane and on-ramp will shut down from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. both nights. There are no anticipated delays.
DOTD said traffic that normally uses LA 3188 to eastbound I-10 must use the US 51 interchange to access the interstate. For more information on the closure, contact DOTD Project Engineer Steve Perilloux at 985-375-0270.
