Pedescleaux

Catherine “Teetie” Oubre Pedescleaux, 63, died April 3, 2008. An active member of many area organizations, the St. James native and resident was wife of Oscar Pedescleaux, Sr. Mother of Oscar, Jr. and Damian Pedescleaux. Daughter of the late Freddie and Pauline Oubre. Sister of Freddie, Jr. and Raymond Oubre and the late Michael Oubre. Also survived by two grandsons and a host of sisters in law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation and services were held Tuesday, April 8, at St. James Catholic Church followed by interment at St. James Catholic Church Cemetery.

Clouatre

Elton J. “Rambo” Clouatre Jr., 56, died April 1, 2008.  The New Orleans native and Reserve resident is survived by daughter Brandy Clouatre, grandchildren De’Andre and Destiny Joseph, mother Shirley Destor Clouatre, brothers Ricky, Allen and Darryn Clouatre, sisters Angelina Chauvin, Shirley Clouatre and Michelle Carmedillo, ex-wife Laura Berthelot Clouatre and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by son Brenton Clouatre, father Elton Clouatre Sr., brothers Roy and Julius Clouatre, sister June Ann Clouatre and grandparents Rauol and Luise Clouatre.

Visitation and services were held Monday, April 7, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy. Interment in St. Joseph Mausoleum in Paulina.

Levy

Michael Levy, 55, died March 27, 2008. At the time of his death he resided at the Veterans Home in Reserve.

Son of Solon M.  and Eunice Kernan Levy, brother of David Levy, Darryl Levy and Judge Kernan “Skip” Hand and uncle to Kerry, Shannon, Jennifer, David, Olivia and William Hand and Alex Levy.

Services were private.

Adams

Raymond Joseph Adams, 84, died April 8, 2008. The New Sarpy resident was a veteran of the US Navy during World War II. He was awarded two bronze stars and a World War II victory medal for his service. Adams is survived by his ex-wife, Hilda Callouet Adams; three daughters, Joan Tullier, Linda Jackson, and Cynthia Adams; two sons, Randy and Barry Adams; a sister, Irene Lashbrook; and numerous grandchildren. Adams is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Sophie Adams; two brothers, Stanley and Roland Adams; and a sister, Audrey Mae Hymel. Visitation and services were held Friday, April 11, at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco, LA.

Martin-Smith

Voncile Martin-Smith, died April 3, 2008. Martin-Smith was the, friend of Fred Kirklin, mother of Mandory, Jermaine and Myesha Smith, and sister of Arie Wilson, Mertis Singleton, Lorraine Adam, Carl Brumfield, Rayford Martin, Leslie Martin, and Albert Martin Jr. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vertis and Albert Martin Sr., and sister, Edith Martin. Visitation and funeral services were held Friday, April 11, at Providence Baptist Church in LaPlace, followed by interment in Providence Memorial Cemetery.
