Shaw downs Riverside

Shaw scored 16 runs between the third and fourth innings last Wednesday, in the process finishing off host Riverside, 22-10.
Five Eagles had two RBIs in the game. Ross Barbier had two hits and three runs for Shaw. Nathan Perrin hit a home run to go with two RBIs and two runs scored. Scott Fabre was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
Wade Delaneuville and Dylan Martin led the Rebels at the plate. Each went 3-for-3 with three RBIs in the game. Delaneuville scored three runs in the game, and hit a home run.
Timmy Teague also homered in the game, and had two RBIs. Jamie Simon had a triple, two RBIs, and two runs scored.
Shaw (7-8-1) had 18 hits overall in the game. Riverside (4-11-1) notched 12.
Jordan Landry picked up the win for Shaw, striking out eight but allowing nine earned runs.
Scores from the Fatty’s Invitational (3/8-3/9): Lutcher 5, Riverside 1 – Lutcher (14-4) overcame an early 1-0 Rebels lead to notch a 5-1 victory.
Wade Delaneuville’s second inning home run represented the only run of the game for the Rebels.
He took the loss, striking out eight but walking nine over 6.1 innings.
Thibodaux 6, Riverside 3 – Riverside led 3-2 late in the game, but the Tigers scored four at the top of the seventh inning to capture the win.
Brian Kraemer led the Tigers (8-9), going 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Delaneuville was 2-for-4 with two RBIs to lead Riverside. Jake Roussel also had an RBI single in the game.
