Babin

Adelard “Bean” Babin, 84, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008. The Paulina native is survived by wife, Audrey Mae Babin; sons, Warren Audrey and Larry Babin; daughters, Marion Beasley, Paula Letney and Valerie Hymel; sisters, Edna Tilford and Thereses Kliebert. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchilden.

Religious services were Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Gramercy. Burial followed in St. John Memorial Gardens.

Barre

Rita Jane Bovie Barre, 71, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008. The Edgard native is survived by daughter, Cheryl Smith; son, Derrick Anthony Boris Raymond; sisters, Cora Lee Songy, Natalie Miller, Jeanette LaGrange and Elizabeth Johnson; brothers, Melvin, Oscar Jr. and Gene Bovie. Also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Oscar Sr. and Elizabeth Pierre Bovie; husband, Nolan Barre; son, Dwight Gerard Barre; grandchild, Devante Smith.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 1, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2381 Hwy 18, Edgard, LA at 8 a.m. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.

Falcon

Neil Joseph Falcon, Sr., 85, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008. The Lutcher resident is survived by son, Neil Joseph Falcon, Jr. Also survived by three grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by wife, Sarah Galafora Falcon; parents, Clarence and Enola Boudreaux Falcon; sister, Clency Falcon Lauterback.

Religious services were Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 at Alexander Funeral Home in Lutcher. Interment followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Metairie.

Johnson

Regina Preyan Johnson, 61, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008. The St. James native is survived by husband, Robert Louis Johnson, Jr.; mother, Lillian Keller Preyan; sisters, Betty Joseph, Brenda Wilson, Marva Dumas, Carliss Keller; brother, Anthony Preyan.

Preceded in death by father, Lesley Preyan.

Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008 from St. Mark Fourth B.C. in New Orleans. Interment followed in St. James Catholic Church Cemetery.

Becnel

Robert “Bosco” Becnel, 53, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008. The Reserve native is survived by son, Michael Becnel; daughters, Tori, Tessa and Sabrina Becnel; brother, Darryl Becnel; sisters, Carol Bruno and Mary Fredric.

Religious services were Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve. Burial followed in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve.
