LAPLACE – The Louisiana DOTD will again be working on eastbound Interstate 10 in the vicinity of the LaPlace weigh scales between exits 206 and 209. The project’s purpose is the relocation of concrete barriers there.

As a result of the work, the left lane of eastbound I-10 will be closed from Thursday, Jan. 24 through Friday, Feb. 28. Work will be conducted between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Although the DOTD expects delays to be minimal, the department advises drivers who wish to avoid the construction to exit I-10 at La. 3188 (Exit 206) south to US 61 and then travel east to US 51. Drivers can then travel north on US 51 to I-10.
