Mitchell “Billy” Lennix, 72, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008. The LaPlace resident is survived by wife, Delores W. Lennix; sons, Dwight and Reginald Lennix; daughters, Loyce Watson, Joyce Farlough, Elleen Wolf, Paulette Hargrave, Vada Bridges and Jarita Jullen; brother, Ozzie Lennix; sister, Deloris Felton. Also survived by 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Lucille J. and Mitchell Lennix, Sr.; son, Alvin Lennix; sister, Theresa O. Butler; brothers, Louis Sr., Allen Sr. and Godfrey Lennix.

Funeral services are Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, 198 West 2nd St., LaPlace, LA. Rev. Augustus G. Brown, Jr. officiating. Interment in St. John Memorial Garden of LaPlace, LA. Mt. Nebo Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 from 9 a.m. until service time.

Miles

Rosetta Taylor Miles, 77, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008. The Reserve resident is survived by son, Frank Miles, Jr.; ward, Kathryn Kelson Pack; sister, Mary Kelson. Also survived by five grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, Frank miles, Sr.; son, Calvin Miles, Sr.; parents, Jeff and Katherine Jackson Taylor; sibling, Madison Taylor.

Funeral services are Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 at 12 p.m. from the Greater New Plymouth Rock B.C., 110 N.W. 13th, Reserve, LA. Rev. David B. Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Reserve, LA. Visitation at the church after 9 a.m.
