Jenna Lynn Sonnier-Braud is the 22 year old daughter of David Braud and Terri Arceneaux Braud, and Grand daughter of Delton and Sue Arceneaux of LaPlace. Jenna, a 2004 graduate of East St.John High School, and having accomplished 12 years of Perfect Attendance. She proudly represented St. John the Baptist Parish in 2002 as Miss Teen Andouille, and also in 2005 as Queen Miss Andouille. She graduated this past December with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources Management from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. Jenna is so proud and honored to represent the Lion’s Club as Queen du Monde XXIX.

David John Braud is the son of Lillian and Lester Braud, Sr. David is a native of Norco, but has lived in LaPlace for the past 17 years. He is a 1980 graduate of Destrehan High School and had been employed at Shell Chemical for nearly 20 years. David is married to Terri Arceneaux of LaPlace for 15 years. They have a daughter, Jenna, who reigns as Queen du Monde XXIX He was honored to be a duke of duMonde in 1997. His entire family has enjoyed Mardi Gras for years. His father in law, Delton Arceneaux,(XVI) and his late brother in law, William Birner (XXI), both has reigned as King of du Monde. David is so honored to follow in their footsteps serving as king du Monde XXIX.

Duke Sammy Accardo, Jr. is a life long resident of the River Parishes. He is owner and managing partner of Accardo Law Firm, LLC and Progressive Title Company. Sammy is married to his wife of eleven years, Jennifer Jandura Accardo, and they are the proud parents of Samuel, III and Matthew. Sammy’s family has a history with the Krewe of Du Monde. His late uncle Anthony “Sugar Boy” Monica was a past Duke and Uncle Carl Monica and cousin Sunny Stein have reined as past King and Queen.

Maid Alicia Marie Guilliot is in the 10th grade at Riverside Academy. She id co-captain of the Southern Sweetheart Dance Team at Riverside. She is the daughter of Mervin and Robin Guillot of LaPlace. After graduating from Riverside she plans to attend SLU in Hammond and hopes to one day fulfill her dream of becoming a pediactrics nurse.

Duke Ronald Vincent Chauppetta, wife is Deborah Worrel Chauppetta for 31 years and father of Cody Ryan Chauppetta, born in New Orleans, LA to Rosemarie Brocato and the now deceased Robert A. Chauppetta. A resident of St. John the Baptist Parish for 27 years, employed in the Aviation Department at Freeport McMoRan Copper & Gold for the past 19 years. Member of Riverlands Golf & Country Club Board of Directors over 15 years and currently serves on the St. John Parish Utility Board. Hobbies. Hobbies include golf, deer hunting and fishing.

Maid Alexandra Elise Torres is the twenty-one year old daughter of Eric and JoAnn Torres, of LaPlace, and one of five children. She is a 2004 graduate of St. Charles Catholic high school and is currently attending Louisiana State University where she is pursuing a degree in Business. She is also employed by LSU I.T.S. business office.

Bill Ironside is President of Reserve Telecommunications (RTC), a position he has held since 2001. Bill joined RTC from Cox Communications in New Orleans where he was Director of Finance and later head of Cox’s commercial telephone operations. A native of Michigan, Bill graduated from Central Michigan University and holds a CPA certificate from the State of California. Bill and his wife Christine live in La Place and they have two sons attending college at University of Louisiana Lafayette and Southeastern Louisiana University.

Maid Lauren Monica is the daughter of Nikkie and Dawn Monica of Laplace. She is a 2007 graduate of Mount Carmel High School and she is currently freshman in college.

Duke Patrick Poche’, wife is Donna Poche of Norco. Father of Jessica and Rachel and stepfather to Blaine and Justin. Owns a local consulting firm, Poche Consulting, LLC and serves a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission in St. Charles Parish.

Maid Crystal Metcalf daughter of the Late Keith Metcalf and Robin Metcalf. She is a 2005 graduate of St. Charles Catholic High School and is currently attending Louisiana State University where she is pursuing a degree in fashion design.

Duke John Murry is the owner of a local business in Laplace who currently resides in Ascension Parish. He is standing in the late Keith Metcalf.

Maid Christine Metcalf daughter of the Late Keith Metcalf and Robin Metcalf. She is a 2005 graduate of St. Charles Catholic High School and is currently attending Louisiana State University where she is pursuing a degree in fashion design.

Duke Russell “ Rusty” D. Martin is the President / Owner of Martin International which is located LaPlace since 1982. He currently resides in Ascension Parish and is the proud father of Alexandra and Austin Martin. When not at is office he enjoys spending time with his family and fishing.

Maid Rachel Ann Rodriguez, the daughter of Gene and Lisa Rodriguez, is currently a junior at Archbishop Chapelle High School. Rachel is a member of the cheerleading squad and President of the French Club. Rachel aspires to enter the United States Air Force as an officer.
