Barbara Stroh Amedee, 66, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008. The Luling resident is survived by husband, William “Bill” Amedee; daughter, Staci Lynn Amedee; sons, Steven C. Amedee and Kelly J. Amedee; sister, Mary S. Holbrook; brother, Darryl Stroh. Also survived by five grandchildren.

Memorial service was Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Kenner.

Beadle

Shirley Fremin Beadle, 85, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008. The Reserve native is survived by daughters, Kathryn Hotard and Paulette Otts; sons, David and Robert Beadle; sister, Barbara Zeringue; brother, Alvin Fremin. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, Henry Beadle; son, Henry “Hank” Beadle, Jr; parents, Hanson and Esther Williams Fremin; brother, Hanson Fermin, Jr.; sister, Elsie St. Pierre. Also preceded by four grandchildren.

Religious services were Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial followed in St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve, LA.

Cartozzo

Sam Joseph Cartozzo, Sr.died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008. The Norco resident is survived by wife, Carolyn Braud Cartozzo; sons, Sam Jr., Timmy, Randy and Mark Cartozzo; daughter, Joanne Dupleix; brothers, Joseph “Sonny” and Jimmy Cartozzo; sister, Rose Rose Courtney. Also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Preceded in death by parents, Anthony “Tony” and Jennie Couchia Cartozzo; son, Keith John Cartozzo; brothers, Peter and Henry Cartozzo.

Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norco. Entombment followed in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan.

Chapoton

Denise Brock Chapoton, 91, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008. The Vacherie native and Lutcher resident is survived by sons, Malcolm Jr. and Conrad Chapoton; daughter, Patricia Duhe; sister, Edian Landry. Also survived by seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, Malcolm Chapoton, Sr.; parents, Charles and Edna Herbert Brock; brothers, Evariste, Louis, Charles and William Brock. Also preceded by two baby grandsons.

Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Entombment followed at Our Lady of Peace Mausoleum, Vacherie, LA.

Hoover

Cecil Hoover, 73, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008. The St. John Parish resident is survived by wife, Norma Buckley Hoover; sons, Tony and Chris Hoover; daughter, Jodie Mapes; sister, Myrtis Rolling. Also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008 at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home. Burial followed in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery, LaPlace, LA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your favorite charity.

Izola B. Johnson, 63, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008. The LaPlace resident is survived by daughters, Aquenetta Francisco and Arlisha Jackson; sons, Richie, Darryl, Wilfred, Michael, Yuri, Lawrence, Lawerence, Delano and Derrick Johnson; sisters, Lillie Hugh, Earnestine Joseph, Sheila Williams and Sandra Jackson; brothers, JW Jr. and Charles Johnson, Sr. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, JW Sr. and Lubertha Johnson.

Ethel Lou Johnson Pradia, 79, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008. The Montz native is survived by son, Lester Madere; daughter, Sherry Howard; foster sister, Rose Stewart. Also survived by four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Ethel and Freddie Johnson, Sr.; husband, Hardin Pradia.

Homegoing service was Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Interment followed in Jefferson Memorial Garden Cemetery, St. Rose, LA.

Randle

Debra Ann Randle, 50, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008. The LaPlace resident is survived by mother, Sarah Dennis Randle. Also survived by seven sisters and five brothers.

Preceded in death by father, Ellis Randle.

Funeral Service was Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2008 at Mt. Cavalry B.C. in LaPlace. Interment followed in Montz Cemetery in LaPlace.

St. Martin

Warren St. Martin, Sr., 82, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008. The LaPlace native is survived by wife Enola Kugler St. Martin; sons, Andrew, Warren Jr., Paul, Daniel and Lee St. Martin; daughters, Patricia St. Martin, Denise Brady and Anna Henry; sister, Mary Ruth Babin. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by son, Michael J. St. Martin; parents, Nelson Sr. and Philonise St. Martin; brothers, Nelson Jr., Herbert Sr. and Lloyd St. Martin, Sr.

Vicknair

Warren “Red” Vicknair died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008. The Reserve native is survived by wife, Sherry Millet Vicknair; daughters, Lisa Silcio and Jeanie Delaune; son, Darren Vicknair; sister, Nelda Coquyt; brother, Robert Vicknair. Also survived by three grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Fortune and Delia Vicknair.

Funeral Services were Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008 at Our Lady of Divine Providence Church in Metairie. Burial followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Metairie.
