Honor

Morris Honor, Sr., 52, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008. The Boutte native is survived by sons, Morris Honor, Jr. and Maurice Honor; brothers, Darryl Honor, Sr., Roy Elwood, Melvin and Warren Honor; sisters, Celestine William, Marilyn Brown and Helen Honor. Also survived by one grandchild.

Preceded in death by brother, Melvin Honor, Jr.; sister, Sarah Honor Pierre; parents, Sarah Hills and Melvin Honor, Sr.

Funeral service was Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008 at First Baptist Church, Paradis, La. Interment followed at the church.

Moll

Morris “Tony” Moll, Jr., 94, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008. The Edgard native is survived by wife Blanche Alexis Moll; children, Joyce, Eldridge, Bertell, Carol, Roosevelt, Johnny, Alana, Gene, Mark and Craig; sister, Deloris; brother, Roosevelt. Also survived by 28 grandchildren and a host of great and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Morris Moll, Sr. and Virginia Gerard.

Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, La.. Interment followed in church cemetery.

Petetant

Pearl Davis Petetant, 93, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007. The Boutte native is survived by sister, Lillian D. Dorsey. Also survived by seven grandchildren, 14 gret-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchilden.

Preceded in death by parents, Benjamin and Clementine Trout Davis; son, Charles Boyd; sisters, Theresa D. Turner, Louise D. Darnell, Ella D. Alanso, Easter D. Dorsey, Hattie D. Babino and Mathilda D. Howard; brothers, Howard, John, Giles, Elijah, Harry, George and Benjamin Davis.

Funeral service was Monday, Jan. 7, 2007 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, Boutte, La. Interment followed in Mt. Airy Memorial Park Cemetery.

Spears

Curtis Wayne Spears, Sr., 73, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008. The Destrehan resident is survived by wife, Lynne Spears; daughter, Robin Spears; son, Curtis Spears. Also survived by five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, Aaron Curtis and Gertie Spears; sister, Annette Spears Centanni.

Visitation was Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008 at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home. Interment followed in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Cemetery.
