Amedee

Barbara Stroh Amedee, 66, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008. The Luling resident is survived by husband, William “Bill” Amedee; daughter, Staci Lynn Amedee; sons, Steven C. Amedee and Kelly J. Amedee; sister, Mary S. Holbrook; brother, Darryl Stroh. Also survived by five grandchildren.

Memorial service was Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Kenner.

Beadle

Shirley Fremin Beadle, 85, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008. The Reserve native is survived by daughters, Kathryn Hotard and Paulette Otts; sons, David and Robert Beadle; sister, Barbara Zeringue; brother, Alvin Fremin. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, Henry Beadle; son, Henry “Hank” Beadle, Jr; parents, Hanson and Esther Williams Fremin; brother, Hanson Fermin, Jr.; sister, Elsie St. Pierre. Also preceded by four grandchildren.

Religious services were Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial followed in St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve, LA.

Hoover

Cecil Hoover, 73, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008. The St. John Parish resident is survived by wife, Norma Buckley Hoover; sons, Tony and Chris Hoover; daughter, Jodie Mapes; sister, Myrtis Rolling. Also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008 at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home. Burial followed in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery, LaPlace, LA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your favorite charity.
