LouisianaAnswers.com comes to LaPlace on Dec. 28 to enroll Adults with Disabilities who are over 21 years of age in Medicare Part D
LouisianaAnswers.com, part of the Louisiana Aging and Disability Resource Center, will be in LaPlace, Friday, Dec. 28, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., St. John the Baptist Parish Library, 2920 New Hwy 51, to help seniors and adults 21 year of age or older with onset disabilities find prescription assistance programs or enroll in Medicare Part D.
Those needing prescription assistance should bring their driver’s license, their Medicare card if they have one, and their list of medicines said Leslie Ann Cioti, Coordinator, Jefferson/River Parishes.
“We’re always available to help seniors and adults find help to pay for their medicines, so if they can’t join us on Dec. 28, they can call us anytime,” she said.
Since its launch in April, 2005, the program has helped more than 46,000 seniors save more than $72.5 million on more than 741,000 prescriptions. LouisianaAnswers.com has recently expanded its prescription assistance programs from helping just seniors to also helping adults over 21 with on-set disabilities.
“LouisianaAnswers.com is a one-stop shop. We can discuss prescription medicines, but we also help seniors, adults with disabilities, caregivers and health providers find the answers to questions about care, transportation, dental care, wheelchair ramps, home repair, homecare, housing, financial aid, legal aid or other issues related to quality living with one call or one click of the mouse, never having to leave their home or office,” said Ms. Cioti.
Interested parties can log-on directly to the program at www.LouisianaAnswers.com or call 1-800-635-1437.
