For much of the first three quarters of Tuesday’s game between Riverside and Hosanna Christian, Hosanna Christian had the advantage.

Then the Rebels started running.

Riverside shut Hosanna Christian out in the fourth quarter, outscoring them 15-0 and notching its second victory of the season, a 51-43 win at home.

Bobby Smith scored 22 points. Josh Tassin scored 13 and Kane Keller added 10.

Riverside Coach Ben Wilson credited conditioning for his team’s performance down the stretch.

“We were still running later on, they couldn’t really keep up. They lost their legs,” said Wilson. “Not one of our players were tired at the end. They said they felt like they could go again.”

The win moved the Rebels record to 2-2 on the season.

On Tuesday, the Rebels will travel to face East Iberville. And on Thursday, Riverside will host Starkey Academy at 5 p.m.
