No. 1 Destrehan (12-0) @ No. 9 St. Paul (10-2) – Destrehan is coming off a statement game against Carencro – once Tim Molton scored on two long touchdowns early, the Wildcats were off to the races.

After playing in a series of close nail biters in district play, Destrehan has coasted in each of the first two rounds. The offense is too diverse for most teams to keep up, with speed at every skill position.

The last comparable team that St. Paul has faced was Shaw, whom defeated the Wolves 24-8 in the second week of the year. The Wolves do have one thing going for it though – a defense that can keep them in the game. In nine of 12 games, St. Paul has held its opponent to 15 points or less, and Shaw was limited to 24.

The Wolves cannot win a shootout with a Wildcats team that boasts a plethora of Division I NCAA talent. If Destrehan can win here, it may be on a collision course with district rival Dutchtown, the No. 20 seed that has found its way to the quarterfinals and lost a 9-7 nailbiter to Destrehan earlier this month. Dutchtown faces No. 28 Westgate.
