HAHNVILLE – St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Reserve woman charged with tying up and robbing an 80-year-old Norco man, said a Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

Captain Pat Yoes, public information officer for the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office, said Todmonique Joseph, 21, 531 Homewood St., Reserve, turned herself in after a warrant for her arrest was issued September 11. Yoes said Joseph was being held at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center in Hahnville on charges of first-degree robbery and false imprisonment. She was expected to appear in court this past Thursday for a hearing to set bond. No information on an amount was available at press time.

According to Sheriff’s Office reports, on August 29, 2007 Joseph, along with another suspect, were invited into the home of the 80-year-old man, whose name was not released in order to protect the victim. Yoes said Joseph and her accomplice were acquaintances of the man.

Once inside the home, Joseph and the other suspect allegedly proceeded to tie the victim up before taking shotguns and an undisclosed amount of money from the home. Jones and the other suspect fled the home in the victim’s vehicle.

The report states that after the suspects fled, the victim was able to untie himself and notify the sheriff’s office about the incident.
