LAPLACE – Top cooks and chefs in the River Region only have until tomorrow, Thursday, November 8, to turn in recipes to L’Observateur for our annual Holiday Cookbook.

As usual, gift certificates in the amounts of $150, $100 and $75 to area grocery stores will be awarded to the first, second and third place finishers, respectively.

But even if you do not think your prized fruitcake recipe is worthy of one of the top three prizes, send it in anyway. Many of those selected will have their name and recipe printed in the cookbook, which will come out on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007.

So get busy gathering those submissions. They must be received by Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, 5 p.m., for consideration.
