DUBOIS

Huey Dubois, age 64, of Montgomery, La., died on Friday, September 7, 2007, at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, La.

He grew up in the Clarence area before moving to the LaPlace area, where he lived for 30 years before moving back to Montgomery. He worked for CGB Marine as a welder.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Dubois.

He is survived by his wife Sybil Dubois; two daughters, Tina Sander and husband Ronald of LaPlace and Natasha Dubois and fiancé Jose Rel of LaPlace; one son, Thomas &#8220bubba” Dubois and wife Selena of Montgomery; his mother and step-father, Lillie Lemoine McDermit and C.F. McDermit; five grandchildren, Darrin and Ryan Sander, Devin and Damian Dubois and Hayden Clements; two brothers, Leslie Dubois and wife Sarah and Lynn Dubois and wife Judy; and one step-sister, Bobbie Tassin ad husband Willie.

Funeral arrangements are by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches.

THOMAS

Brandon Thomas, 27, of Edgard, La., died on Saturday, September 22, 2007.

He was the son of Sheralyone Thomas and Clarence Wright Jr.

He was the father of Amari Pierre. He was the brother of Yukatta, Ralph, Jalanne, Thomas, Matthew, Jamie Jackson, Tessa Nicholas, Angela Lewis, Kim Thomas, Jamar Thomas and Jefini Thomas.

He was the grandson of the late Gertrude and Ervy Thomas and Golena Wright.

He is survived by his grandfather Clarence Wright Sr., aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Baloney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

SELIG

Susan Perret Selig died on Saturday September 22, 2007, at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, at the age of 54.

Selig was a life long resident of Edgard, La. She was an employee of Club Grocery and General Merchandise. She had been fighting cancer for the last four years.

Survivors include her former husband, Thomas Selig; two children, Ashley Selig and Jeffrey Selig; her mother, Juanita Fernandez Perret; one brother, Alvin M. Perret Jr.; one sister, Geri-Dawn Perret Moity; five nieces, six nephews and one great niece.

She is the daughter-in-law of Roland and Eloise Selig of Baton Rouge.

She is preceded in death by her father, Alvin M. Perret and her sister Abigail Perret. Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 27 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgard, with a mass following at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to any Capital One bank in the name of Alvin M. Perret Memorial Scholarship Fund. The family plans to rename the scholarship fund in both Susan and her father’s name.

ALLEN

Bob Allen, 61, died on Sunday, September 23, 2007, at 9:30 am.

He was the father of Donald Allen and Sherry Parkson, brother of Michael Allen, Nancy Wartell, Linda Morgan and Mary Hertberg and Naomi Allen.

He was a native of Rhode Island and a resident of LaPlace for the past 23 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services. Visitation will be held at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy, LaPlace from 9 to 11 a.m. on Sept. 27.

Burial to be private at a later date.

MIGUEZ

Nova Madere Miguez, 89, died on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at Community Medical Center at Calico Rock, Ark.

She was a resident of Mt. View, Ark., for two years.

She was the daughter of William and Amelie Oubre Madere. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold M. Miguez Sr.; two brothers, Wilton Madere and Antoine Sidney Madere; and one sister, Corinne M. Bryan.

She is survived by one sister, Odette Madere.

Other survivors include her son, Harold Miguez Jr; his wife, Iris Heurtin; four grandchildren, Tara M. Sicomo (Nicolas) of Slidell, La.; Duane Miguez (Sandra) of Bayou Gauche, La.; Deidre Wildmon (Jerrell) of Mt. View; and Brad Miguez (Diane) of Bayou Gaughe.

She also is survived by 10 great-grandchildren, Hannah and Collin Hutchinson, Monica and Nichole Sicomo, Tanner and Cade Miguez, Breanna, Kayla and Paige Widmon and Chase Miguez.

She was an RN nurse at Charity Hospital and retired with 40 years of service. She was a member of the C.R.I.B. for many years.

Services will be from 8 to 10 a.m. on Sept. 28 at Our Lady of Holy Rosary in Hahnville, La. and officiated by Father Bernard Francis.

Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Edgard.
