Augustus named to second team All-WNBA

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Former LSU All-American Seimone Augustus was named to the All-WNBA second team following her second season with the Minnesota Lynx.
Augustus finished second in the league in scoring with 22.6 points per game, grabbed 4.0 rebounds and dished out 2.3 assists per contest. She also shot 50.8 percent from the floor and connected on 87.3 percent of her free throw attempts.
The Baton Rouge, native received 113 points from the voters to be placed on the second-team. Voting for the All-WNBA First and Second Teams was conducted by a panel of national sportswriters and broadcasters. Players were selected by position and received five points for each First Team vote and three points for each Second Team designation.
Augustus, the 2006 WNBA Rookie of the Year, also received 20 votes in the Most Valuable Player ballot to finish eighth.
