Bernard Dennis Adams Sr., 81, a lifetime resident of Wallace, died Friday, May 11, 2007.

He was the husband of the late Pamella Weber Adams and the father of Iris Johnson, Leslie Adams Griffin, and Bernard Jr. and Charles Adams Sr.

He was also the son of the late Abraham and Roselie Simon Adams and brother of Roland Adams, Octavia Davenport, Ruby Williams, Rose Chopin and Juanita Hawthorne.

He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services were held Thursday, May 17, 2007 at St. Phillip Catholic Church, Vacherie, followed by interment at the church cemetery.

Braxton

Tim &#8220Wormie” Braxton, 17, a native and resident of Garyville, died Friday, May 11, 2007.

He was the son of Timothy and Georgiana Fobb, the brother of Chiquita and Crystal Braxton and the grandson of Vivian Braxton, Katherine Cook and Clarence Fobb.

He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. at St. Mark Baptist Church, 132 Marquez St., Mt. Airy, followed by services at 10 a.m.

Hayes

Marie Virginia Hayes, 79, died Saturday, May 12, 2007.

She was the mother of Joyce Hayes Pierre, the daughter of the late Henry Sr. and Jane Cola Hayes, the sister of Alice Mae Folse, Elaine Elizabeth Kirklin, Joan Ann Johnson and the step-sister of Charlie Hayes and the late Patricia Taylor and Gladys, Henry Jr. and Calvin Hayes.

She is also survived by one grandchild, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and a great-nephew, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2130 Rectory St., Paulina, followed by services at 11 a.m. and interment at the church cemetery.
