KILLONA – The St. Charles Sheriff’s Office arrested a pair of St. Charles Parish men last weekend for allegedly attempting to shoot a 19-year-old Hahnville man after an altercation erupted between the three men.

No one was injured in the incident, which started at roughly 8:18 p.m. on the 600 block of Killona Drive and led to the arrests of Bryan Washington, 18, of 693 Killona Dr. in Killona, and Rondell Cannon, 22, of 511 Paul Fredrick St. in Luling.

When a conversation between the three men became heated one of the suspects brandished a .380 semiautomatic handgun and reportedly fired a shot from close proximity at the Hahnville resident but missed his target.

As the pair fled into a truck the other suspect allegedly tried to shoot the Hahnville man but missed, before the two sped off.

Police arrived shortly after the incident to canvass the area and found the pair of suspects driving the truck, which reportedly had the loaded .380 semiautomatic handgun laying in the bed.

Police arrested Washington for illegal use of weapons, illegal carrying of weapons and aggravated assault. Officers booked Cannon for illegal use of weapons, illegal carrying of weapons, aggravated assault, and outstanding warrant charges.
