BOUTTE – A Boutte man planning to restock his kitchen with a routine shopping trip at the local Wal-Mart was robbed at gunpoint late Sunday night, according to the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office.

The man parked his car at 10:08 p.m. and reportedly walked alone towards the store entrance when he was stopped at gunpoint by two black males, one described as wearing a short &#8220afro” and the other with shoulder length braided hair. The two men took his wallet, which held his Social Security card, license, some United States currency and assorted papers, then sped off in what he described as a long black car.

The St. Charles Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident and asks anyone with information to contact 985-783-6807. The men are wanted for armed robbery.
