Riverside’s girls basketball team had a strong all-around effort in a non-district game against Ecole Classique last Friday, with four players posting double digits en route to a 60-47 win.

The game was in question throughout though as Ecole started off on the right foot for a one point lead

through the first eight minutes of play. But Riverside got hot in the second quarter with a 21-10 run that put them into a comfortable lead before taking to the locker room for the break.

After the half, Riverside had trouble scoring against the Ecole defense, which managed to close the gap to four points with just eight minutes left to play.

In the fourth quarter though, Riverside made their adjustments and settled back into a ten point lead, which ballooned into a 60-47 final by the final whistle.

Brittany Schoen led Riverside in the effort with a game high 22 points. Kayla Perret and Marci Millet each added to the victory, with 11 and 10 points respectively. ____ Leven also contributed with nine points in the effort.

Riverside now stands at 7-10 on the season.
