Riverside and St. Charles tip-off district 10-2A play this week as the Lady Rebels and the Lady Comets are set for a showdown at the SCC gym this Tuesday.
“With this district, you just know that you’re going to get a good match-up every time,” Lady Comet head coach Erin Bacas said. “It’s a competetive district so it’s important to get it off to a good start.”
With both of St. John Parish’s 10-2A squads battling to reach .500 records, the Rebels and the Comets trail district leaders Curtis and Donaldsonville heading into the stretch. So each team would like to get a quick start this Tuesday.
“It’s what we’ve been preparing for with every game that we’ve played this season,” said Riverside coach Aaron Palodino. “You want to end strong and now is the time to do it.”
