BOUTTE- A Boutte man has been arrested and booked with simple battery among other charges after he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend’s residence on Spruce Street, Boutte.

According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, Glenn Jenkins of 449 Boutte Estates Drive, Boutte, was arrested on January 1, 2007 after he entered his ex-girlfriend’s residence by breaking a bedroom window. Once inside the residence, Jenkins held the victim inside the residence against her will for approximately 11 hours. The victim was eventually able to escape captivity and notify the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Jenkins was arrested and booked with simple burglary, simple battery and false imprisonment.
