LAPLACE-River Parishes Hospital in LaPlace will have a blood drive on December 27th from noon until 5 p.m. The blood mobile will located out at the main front entrance of the hospital. The original date of December 28th was changed at the request of the Blood Center.

The blood center is currently experiencing a critical shortage of blood supply for Type O negative and Type B negative.

Potential donors may donate at the local center. The Blood Center for Southeast Louisiana has a location in LaPlace at 123 Belle Terre Blvd. The hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 2-8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. No appointments are necessary.
