DESTREHAN- A St. Charles woman was booked for attempted murder after a domestic disturbance turned violent.
“An argument between Oritha Kenner and her husband became more serious when Kenner pulled out a .380 caliber pistol at their home on 130 Ormond Village Drive in Destrehan,” said Pat Yoes, spokesperson for St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Kenner allegedly shot her husband twice. The first shot was to his stomach, and the second to his buttocks.
According to the SCPSO report, Kenner contacted the sheriff’s office about the incident on Dec. 8 and was taken into custody that evening.
The man was transported to Elmwood Medical center for treatment.
Kenner was released from Nelson Coleman Correctional Center after posting $15,000 of a $150,000 bond set by Judge Granier on December 9.
