DESTREHAN- Sheriff Greg Champagne reports that a 28-year-old LaPlace woman was working at 13470 LA 48 in Destrehan when an unknown black male robbed her.

The victim was checking out a customer and when she opened the cash register drawer, the unknown male went behind the counter and took an undetermined amount of currency and fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximate age 28-33, approximately 5’7-5’9, with an unkempt beard. The suspect was wearing a blue shirt, a blue baseball cap, and blue jeans.

This incident is under investigation. Anyone having information should contact the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office at 985-783-6807.
