St. James and Riverside opened district against each other last Friday in St. James where the Wildcats wasted little time in setting the tone in district 10-2A with a 35-0 win over the Rebels.

Riverside had difficulty all night moving the ball as the St. James defense held them to 68 yards of total offense. The Wildcats, meanwhile, put up 344 total yards, 225 of which came on the ground, mostly from Luther Ambrose who scored three TDs.

St. James quarterback Antonio Phillips went 7-for-10 on the night for 119 yards. His counter-part, Riverside QB Wade Laiche was held to two completions for seven yards with an interception.

Juarelle Narcisse and Craig Duronselet also had touchdowns to propel the Wildcats to the 35-0 win.
