DES ALLEMANDS – The St. Charles Sheriff’s Office is in the midst of a wave of obscenity crimes, the most recent leading to the arrest of a Des Allemands man.

Joshua Hall, 18, 118 Martin Ln., was charged with two counts of obscenity after he allegedly exposed his genitals to two Des Allemands women.

Hall is the third man arrested on obscenity charges for similar crimes in St. Charles since June of this year.

St. Charles Sheriff’s Spokesman Capt. Pat Yoes couldn’t put his finger on exactly what was causing the recent rash of flashings in the area, and wasn’t ruling out any possibilities.

&#8220We’re not sure what is causing all this activity. It’s unprecedented,” Yoes said. &#8220I’ve never seen anything like this since I’ve been here. We’ll have isolated incidents, but never this many in such a short time span.”

Judge Robert Chaisson of the 29th Judicial District Court set Hall’s bond $10,000. He was released after posting $1,000 cash.
