PAULINA – Virgie Lee Barlow Alexander, 95, died August 14. She was the wife of the late Dr. Lee J. Alexander.
She is survived by children and their spouses Lorraine Lee and Paul Baroco, Linda Lee and Joe Reinauer, Rob and Catherine Baroco Landry, Angela Baroco, Tom and Dominique Baroco, Cindy Baroco, Shawn and Lee Reinauer Thrash, Kevin and Jill Reinauer Frank.
She is also survived by a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by parents Lewis Malcom and Nora Basset Barlow. She was also preceded in death by siblings Louise Barlow Charitat and Lloyd Lewis Barlow.
LEGENDRE
LAPLACE – Floyd P. Legendre, a native of Chackbay, died August 13. He was the son of Vernice Peltier, and the late Percy Legendre.
He is survived by children Cheryl Jones, Pat Legendre, Jr., Susan Keating, David and Brian Legendre. He is also survived by siblings Percy, Jr., Leroy, Stephen and Ragus Legendre, Shirley Rodrigue, Jane Wilde and a host of other relatives.
Services were held August 17 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Chackbay with interment in the church cemetery.

MCGEE
LAPLACE – Samuel McGee died August 13. He was the husband of Jean a. McGee.
He is survived by children Lisa Haynes, Samantha Sylvester, Terri McGee, Isaac McGee and stepchildren Barbara Harris, Debra Talbert.
He is also survived by stepmother Christine Magee and siblings W.J. and Gary Magee, Wilmer Badon, Alfred hence, Elnora Magee, Beverly Magee, Clara Jackson, and Patricia Bickham.
He was preceded in death by parents Wilkie Mae Jones and Jessie Magee. He was also preceded in death by six siblings.
Services were held August 18 at New Home Ministries with interment in Providence Park Cemetery.

ROME
LAPLACE – Thomas Rome, 79, a longtime resident of LaPlace, died August 6. He was the husband of Martha Rome.
He is survived by children Thomas Rome, Jr., Paulette Kilburn, Lorraine Tamburello, Renee Natell, Mary Lynne Barends, April Wehrs and Nicole Gatewood.
He is also survived by siblings Ann Salzer, Jean, Russell and Tony Rome.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Rita Rome and parents Jean and Elucia Rome. He was also preceded in death by daughter Karen Ann Rome and eight siblings.
Services were held August 18 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in LaPlace.
SCOTT
KILLONA – Ruth Louise Victor Scott, 90, a native of Edgard, died August 12. She was the wife of the late Joseph Casey Scott, Jr.
She is survived by children Barbara Lockett, Rose Lockett, Reggie Gordon, and Janice Petetant. She is also survived and a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by parents Loula Barre and Lionel Victor. She was also preceded in death by siblings Felecien, Gilbert, and Lawrence Victor.
Services were held August 18 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville with interment in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Taft.

TEMPLE
AMA – Ceola M Temple, 80, a native of St. James, died August 14. She was the wife of Charles Temple, Sr.
She is survived by sons Charles, Jr., Herbert, Calvin and Michael Temple and daughters Annie T. Ingram, Shirley T. Wilson, and Elaine T. Anderson.
She is also survived by sisters Margaret Williams, Mable Edwards, Martha Domino, and Mary Charles and a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by parents Eddie and Florestine B. Martin, Sr..
She was also preceded in death by siblings Agnes Temple, Evelina Coleman and Eddie Martin, Jr.
Services will be 11:00 a.m., August 19 at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Edgard with interment in the church cemetery.

VICKNAIR
LUTCHER – Bertha G. Vicknair, 88, died August 15. She was the wife of the late Wilton Paul Vicknair.
She is survived by children Cheryl Phillips and Carl Vicknair.
She is also survived by sisters Beulah Hanle, Elise St. Pierre and Doris Vicknair.
She was preceded in death by parents Eugene and Leontine Guidry and son Calvin Vicknair.
She was also preceded in death by siblings Eugene, Jr. and Numa Guidry and half-brother Oscar Oubre.
Services were held August 18 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina with interment in the church mausoleum.
