MONTZ- Albertha &#8220Ada” Brown, 84, died August 5. She was the wife of the late Melvin Brown and mother of Carolyn Brown of Montz, Audrey Lee Shorts of Mileville, and Mary Francis Breaux of LaPlace. She is preceded in death by daughter Linda Augillard. She is also survived bysons-in-law Oliver Augillard and Harold Breaux and brother Sylvester Williams.

She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and various nieces, nephews and cousins, relatives and friends.

Services will be held Aug. 12 at 11:00 a.m. at The Providence No. 2 Baptist Church in Montz.

GREENUP

VACHERIE – Walter E. &#8220Hop, Sadam” Greenup, 38, a native of St. James, died August 5. He is survived by children Ashley Mitt, Tiffany Greenup, Wayne Greenup, and George Keller.

He is also survived by mother Mary Broden Greenup.

He was preceded in death by father George greenup, Jr.

Services will be 10:00 a.m., August 12 at First Baptist Church of Vacherie with interment in St. Luke Baptist Church of Moonshine.

JOSEPH

GRAMERCY – Irma Joseph, 86, died August 4. She was the wife by first marriage to the late Edgar Jones and wife by second marriage to the late Leo Joseph.

She is survived by children Beulah Rosemain, Velma Carr, Victoria Johnson, Allen Joseph, and Royal Joseph.

She is also survived by sister Sedonia McGee.

She was preceded in death by children Leroy and Leo Joseph. She was also preceded in death by siblings John Chambers, Freddie Goff, Nathalie Tross, Delia Smith and Ethel Kennard.

Services will be August 12, 10:00 a.m. at Greater Golden Grove B.C. of Gramercy with interment in Golden Wreath Cemetery of Lutcher.

MARKS-LAMPIASI

LAPLACE – Rachel E. Marks-Lampiasi, 26, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Aug. 6. She was the daughter of Stephen and Julie Marks Reine.

She is survived by son Joshua Lampiasi. She is also survived stepbrother Jason Reine and grandparents Luce and Miriam Marks and Joseph Reine.

She was preceded in death by grandmother Martha Saurage Reine.

Services were held August 10 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church of LaPlace with interment in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

MAURIN

LAPLACE – Delma Daigle Maurin, 97, died August 6. She was the wife of the late Etienne Maurin.

She is survived by children John Maurin, E. Nemour Maurin, Paul Maurin and Charlene LeBlanc.

She is also survived by siblings Valerie Freeman, Leota Hymel, and Wilson Daigle.

She was preceded in death by siblings Edward and Waldo Daigle, Carrie Cambre and Mabel Jacob.

Services wree held August 9 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve with interment in the church cemetery.

MILLET

LAPLACE-Dorothy (Dottie) Millet, 76, a resident if LaPlace, died August 9. She is survived by her husband Samuel Millet and children, Larry and Michael Charles. And stepchildren Terry, Dwaine, and Mickey Millet.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and sisters Thelma Posey, Nettie Hill, Margie Watkins, Emma Sue Young, Betty Brown and Sherrie Forbus.

She was preceded in death by brother Junior Honeycutt.

Services were held at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in LaPlace and buried in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Reserve.

POIRRIER

LAPLACE – Floyd William Poirrier, 73, died August 7. He was the husband of Mary Scioneaux Poirrier.

He is survived by children and children-in-law Aaron and Lori Poirrier, Cheryl Poirrier, Susan and Wayne Jarreau, and Angela and Steven Dufresne.

He is also survived by grandchildren Brandon, Blake, Ashley, Angele, Michelle, John Paul, Matthew, Michael and Nicholas and siblings and siblings-in-law Lloyd and Marie Poirrier, Ronald and Evadeen Poirrier, Vivian Teague and Janice Lambert.

He was preceded in death by parents Evans and Elsie Poirrier.

Services were held August 10 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve with interment in the church cemetery.

LULING – Paul M. Vitrano, 76, died August 6. He was the husband of Dora Landry Vitrano.

He is survived by children Paul, Lisa, and Terry Vitrano, Laurie V. Jones and Angela V. Gaubert. He is also survived by brother Nickolas Vitrano.

He was preceded in death by parents Paul and Annie Spano Vitrano. He was also preceded in death by brother Joseph Vitrano.

Services were held August 10 at St. Anthony Catholic Church of Luling with interment in St. Charles Cemetery.
