EDGARD – Velma Sylvain Barnes, 79, died July 27. She was the wife of McKinley Barnes.

She is survived by children David, Rudolph, Lester and Robin Barnes and Myra Barnes Antonio.

She is also survived by sister Marjorie Bailey and a host of grandchildren and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by sister Lillian Jasmine.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Aug. 5 at St. John Catholic Church with interment in the church cemetery.

BOYD

LUTCHER – Parchal Johnson Boyd, 23, died July 30.She was the wife of Kevin Boyd.

 She is survived by parents Edwina White and Barry Ellis and stepfather Vernon White.

She is also survived by stepchild Kevian Gibson and siblings Angele Scott, Tameka Johnson and Vernon White, Jr.

Services were held August 4 at Israelite Baptist Church of Lutcher with interment in Western Cemetery, Lutcher.

BRADY

LAPLACE – Beryl Bienvenu Brady, 89, died July 30. She was the wife of the late Anthony Brady.

She is survived by children Tony Brady, Beryl Byles, Jerry St. Martin, and Allen Brady.

She is also survived by sisters Violet Magee and Ethel Borne and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by siblings Alden and Milton Bienvenu.

Services were held August 2 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in LaPlace with interment in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

DONALDSON

NORCO – Marlene Donaldson, 51, died July 26. She was the wife of Sidney Donaldson.

She is survived by son Aaron LeBlanc and stepchildren Meranda, Sidney and Donja Donaldson.

She is also survived by mother Norris Byron and sisters Brenda Badeaux and Patty Granier.

She was preceded in death by father Irving Granier.

She was also preceded in death by sibling Barton Granier.

Services were held July 28 at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco with interment in St. Charles Borremeo Mausoleum in Destrehan.

FERRARI

LUTCHER – Peter Joseph Ferrari, 78, died August 1.

He was the husband of Helen Gerrets Ferrari.

He is survived by sons Peter III, and Gary Ferrari and daughters Sandra Guidry and Beryl St. Martin.

He is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents Peter and Amelia Serpas Ferrari.

Services were held August 3 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy with interment in St. Joseph Mausoleum in Paulina.
