The Stingrays fell one spot from last year’s second place finish at the River Parish Swim League Invitational, this time taking third place after being nudged out by LaVacherie.

&#8220Our team really stayed in contention for this one,” said Riverlands coach Carla Lambert. &#8220We had a good showing this weekend and had a bunch of our kids step it up right when we needed it. We’re proud of them all.”

Riverlands had a good weekend at the meet, as a number of swimmers ranging from the youngest to some of their most experienced swimmers advanced through the preliminaries into the championship round on Sunday.

&#8220We feel like we can get better for next year,” Lambert said. &#8220We have enough youth to be good for, hopefully, years to come.
