GRAMERCY – Leonce Louis &#8220Doc” LeBlanc Sr., 81, a native of Barton and a resident of Gramercy, died June 19. He was the husband of Rita Mae Louque LeBlanc.

He is survived by his children Patricia Ann &#8220Pat” LeBlanc (Don) Conway, Mary Elizabeth LeBlanc (Ernie) Roussel, Lucille Marie &#8220Lucy” LeBlanc (Billy) O’Regan, Elise Marie LeBlanc (Nathan &#8220Peanut”) LaCombe, Leonce Louis &#8220Lonnie” (Janet) LeBlanc Jr., David Joseph (Jane) LeBlanc, Daniel Luke &#8220Danny” (Trudy) LeBlanc and Richard Mark &#8220Ricky” (Terri) LeBlanc.

He is also survived by a sister Katherine LeBlanc Montero, 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Jules X. LeBlanc and Katherine Landry LeBlanc and brothers Jules X. LeBlanc Jr. and J.E. LeBlanc.

Services were held June 23 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gramercy, with interment in St. Joseph Catholic Church Mausoleum, Paulina.

LUMAR

BOUTTE – Ophelia &#8220Bu-Bush” Narcisse Lumar, 88, a native of Edgard and a resident of Boutte, died June 17. She was the wife of the late Otis Lumar Sr.

She is survived by children Joyce L. Marquez, Otis Lumar Jr., Lorenza Y. Simmons, Vernon Lumar, Charles J. Lumar and Yolanda (Linda) L. Miller.

She is also survived by siblings Florence Dennis, Florida O’Quinn, Hilda Young and Pearl Linely, 31 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Ida Narcisse, children Claudell Lumar Sr. and Louise Y. Bovie and siblings Alexander Narcisse, Aldonia Steib and Sedonia Narcisse Jasmine.

Services were held June 22 at Greater New St. Peter Baptist Church, Edgard, with interment in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard.

POWELL

MONTZ – Gerald Salem Powell, 70, a native of Haines City, Florida and a resident of Montz, died June 21. He was the son of the late Evie Douglas and Mitchell Jones Powell.

He is survived by his children Marie (Eddie) Davis, Belinda Kay (Ronnie) Crosby, Gerald Salem Powell Jr., Gerald Wayne Hill and Matt Powell.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

Services were held June 23 at Williams Funeral Home, Bartow, Florida with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Davenport, Florida.
