LAPLACE – Tyrone J. Bourgeois Sr., 40, a native of Reserve and a resident of LaPlace, died June 12. He was the husband of Rochelle Bourgeois.

He is survived by children Tyrone Bourgeois Jr., Keeara Gardner, Cortez Joseph and Tyren Shepard.

He is also survived by his parents Wilfred Jr. and Evelyn Gregoire Bourgeois, siblings Curtis and Wilfred Bourgeois, Dwayne Mahone, Tracy Frank, Donald Nelson Sr., Lisa Devare, Terryl McMorris and Troylynn Duhe and grandmothers Evelina Gregoire and Louise Sylve.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church, LaPlace, with interment in Providence Rest Haven Cemetery, LaPlace.

DAVIS

RESERVE – Ernest Davis Sr., 49, a native of Reserve and a resident of LaPlace, died June 9. He was the son of the late Daniel Askins and Gloria Davis.

He is survived by children Rafael and Ernest Davis Jr. and Tanisha Ward.

He is also survived by siblings Annette Askins, Anita James, Viola, Sheldon and Michael Davis, Valeria Bolden and Pamela Perrilloux and four grandchildren.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Milesville Memorial Church of God in Christ, LaPlace, with interment in Bethlehem Cemetery, LaPlace.

DOOLEY

NEW SARPY – Authur Dooley, 83, a native of Jonesville, Mississippi and a resident of New Sarpy, died June 9. He was the husband of Sandra Dooley.

He is survived by children Felita Dooley Henry and Felicia Dooley.

He is also survived by siblings Steve and Mack Dooley, Elouise Parker and Elezinia Beard, son-in-law Mizell Henry, grandchildren My’Kayla Henry, Leonard, Rasheed and LaKaia Dooley.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ellen Whitley and Steve Dooley and a sister Sylvilla Williams.

Services will be held today at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church, New Sarpy, with interment New Sarpy Cemetery, New Sarpy.

JOHNSON

LAPLACE – Darryl Johnson Jr., 17, a native and resident of LaPlace, died June 12. He was the son of Darryl and Wendy Lakhan Johnson Sr.

He is survived by his brother Dylan K. Johnson.

He is also survived by his grandparents Winston and Mary Lakhan and Izola B.

Johnson and great-grandmothers Pearl Lakhan and Geraldine David.

Services were held June 16 at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, LaPlace, with interment in Providence Rest Haven Cemetery, LaPlace.

KYZAR

RESERVE – Stacey Berthelot Kyzar, 84, a native of DeRidder and a resident of Reserve, died June 13. She was the wife of the late Edward Kyzar, and by first marriage of the late Joseph Berthelot.

She is survived by her sister Elizabeth Stevens.

She is also survived by nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Stella Taylor.

Services were held June 15 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment in the church cemetery.
