NEW SARPY – Ernest &#8220Old Man” Johnson II, 50, a native of New Orleans and a resident of New Sarpy, died May 14. He was the son of the late Bertha Mae Valentine and Ernest Johnson.

He is survived by his son Ernest Johnson III.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Dashun, Kimberly, Damare, Erjhana and Ernest Johnson IV and aunt and uncle Florence Adams and Gerald (Michael) Anderson.

Services were held May 22 at Faith Praise and Deliverance Ministries, New Sarpy, with interment in New Sarpy Cemetery, New Sarpy.

MILLET

NORCO – Mary Ann Roussel Millet, 79, a resident of Norco, died May 18. She was the daughter of Lizzie St. Pierre Roussel and William J. Roussel.

She is survived by children Jewel and Carol Millet, Kevin (Tammy) Millet, Mona

Services were held May 20 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, with interment in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan.

MURRAY

AMA – Margaret T. Murray, 34, a native of Thibodeaux and a resident of Ama, died May 15. She was the wife of Edward Murray.

She is survived by children C’Era and Dayjah Murray and stepson Edward Allen Murray IV.

She is also survived by her mother Evelyn Singleton, siblings Russell (Penny) Thomas Sr., O’dell (Kim) Thomas, Joseph Jones, Shana and Shena Singleton and Markita and Sharell Jones.

She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Thomas Jr.

Services were held May 23 at First Baptist Church, Paradis, with interment in Church of Christ Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Houma.

NELSON

AMA – Richard Matthew &#8220Toe-Toe” Nelson, 87, a native of St. James and a resident of New Orleans and Ama, died May 17. He was the husband of the late Rebie Morris Nelson.

He is survived by children Peggy Nelson Baker, Patricia Rose Nelson, Barbara Nelson Author and Yvonne Nelson Paylor.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Louis Nelson and Jeanne LaCroix Johnson and siblings Alexander Johnson, Claude Washington and Nolia Young Johnson.

Services were held May 22 at St. James Catholic Church, St. James Catholic Church, with interment in the church cemetery.

RICHARD

ST. ROSE – Melvin Ellis Richard (Ellis Melvin Richard), 65, a native of Montz and a resident of St. Rose, died May 16. He was the son of Harding Richard and the late Louise Becknell.

He is survived by children Latrisha (Herman) Bell, Carwin (Latasha) Richard Sr. and Darlinda Richard.

He is also survived by siblings Boyd Bowman, Lionel Cooper, Cecile Becknell, Hilda Johnson, Viola Peace, Nichelle, Shane and Jackie Richard and Verena Stewart, aunt Leona Parquet and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by siblings Harding Richard Jr., Armanta Hall, Henry Lewis and Lloyd Cooper Sr., aunts Dorothy Brown, Ruth Noble and Viola Sherman and uncles Joseph Becknell and Martin Richard Sr.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, with interment in Montz Memorial Park Cemetery, Montz.

Robottom Mortuary of Reserve is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. at the church.

SIMON

VACHERIE – Odette Simon Simon, 90, a native and resident of Vacherie, died May 20. She was the wife of the late Ruffin Joseph Simon.

She is survived by her guardian Marjorie Simon Hymel.

She is also survived by siblings Elmore (Orabelle) Simon, Gaston (Adeline) Simon, Nolan Simon, Raymond (Mary Ann) Simon, Lucille Simon Gendron, Rosemary Simon Luquette, Margaret Simon (Elmore) Hotard.

She was preceded in death by her parents Omer and Sophie Simon and siblings Bill Simon and Rosalie Simon Bacas.

Services were held May 23 at St. Phillip Church, Vacherie, with interment in the church cemetery.

TERRIO

RESERVE – Pauline Duhe Terrio, 87, a native and resident of Reserve, died May 20. She was the wife of the late Alvin J. Terrio Sr.

She is survived by children Alvin (Audrey) Terrio Jr., George (Veronica) Terrio, Rose Marie (Gary) Weber, Marlene (Mike) Centanni, Terry (Bernard) Lemoine, Danny (Donna) Terrio, April (Jimmy) Murphy and Peter (Cindy) Terrio.

She is also survived by a brother Junius Duhe, 27 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Helena Duhe and siblings Chester and Percy Duhe, Lillian Clement, Laura Delaneuville and Rita Catoire.

Services were held May 23 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment in the church cemetery.
